In order to become any type of fitness professional, the first course you need to successfully complete is this one – Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315). With this qualification, you can work as a Fitness Instructor, where you may be involved in the assessment, training and supervision of a variety of people in health and fitness centres, gyms, sports facilities and community organisations. You will be trained in fitness-specific tasks to instruct individuals and groups in specified environments. You may also work under the guidance of senior, more qualified fitness professionals.
|Conducting an initial client induction including basic screening, fitness appraisal, program development and exercise instruction.|
|Designing individualised training programs within the context of a long term plan.|
|Critiquing technique and applying a variety of appropriate instructional strategies in a range of exercise modalities.|
|Regularly appraising client's fitness levels and modifying their programs accordingly.|
This qualification is also the pre-requisite for becoming a Personal Trainer.
