There are four High Performance Trainer certifications to choose from:

If you have an interest in working with clients who want to focus on building or enhancing their strength and power, then becoming an Elite Strength Coach would be a great move for your career.

By completing the Elite Strength Coach certification, through Australian Fitness Network, you’ll gain the necessary skills and knowledge to develop and deliver strength programs for clients with varied experiences, abilities, interests and goals. This Fitness Australia-accredited course covers:

As an Animal Flow® Instructor you will deliver fun, challenging, multi-planar workouts, teaching clients and class participants quadrupedal and ground-based movements, which also includes elements from various bodyweight training disciplines.

You can deliver Animal Flow® as a standalone workout or in a group training format. You can also integrate it into existing fitness routines by using various components for dynamic warm ups, interval training, circuit training and skills building.

Easily tailored to people from all fitness levels, gym-goers and athletes, Animal Flow® generates significant results for your clients and participants, in areas such as mobility, flexibility, stability, power, endurance, skill and neuromuscular communication.

If you have a desire to work with adolescents, older adults or athletes then the course ‘Optimising Sporting Performance from Adolescence to Elderly’ will set you up for success. From this course you’ll learn about individual training protocols when working with specific populations, including:

  • The principal of individual differences when training a special population.
  • Resistance training with adolescents and the impact on the growth plates.
  • Training protocols for adolescent resistance training.
  • Long term athlete development (LTAD).
  • Ageing and loss of muscle mass (i.e. sarcopenia).
  • Methods and guidelines for resistance training for the elderly.
  • Resistance training for athletes, including needs analysis, planning and periodisation, overtraining, testing and programming.

If you want to work with clients who demand serious results and are willing to put in the hard yards of training, then becoming a Bodyweight Athlete Instructor will be your key to success.

Bodyweight Athletes are the epitome of strength, fitness and finesse. They are the ultimate version of themselves and they understand that a great workout is about more than just increasing your reps and load. Bodyweight Athletes understand how to manipulate workouts in order to obtain impressive skills and feats of strength.

The Bodyweight Athlete program is delivered by Global Bodyweight Training, which was founded by Mike Fitch – the brains and brawn behind the Animal Flow phenomenon. In Australia, the program is powered by Network and consists of an online component and a two-day face-to-face workshop taught by Mike himself.

This course is open to any individuals who are serious about their bodyweight training. So regardless of whether you’re a personal trainer, a group exercise instructor or a fitness enthusiast who doesn’t work in the industry or hold any qualifications, if you have a passion for serious training and are interested in learning about graceful athleticism and how to master impressive skills and feats of strength, then this is the program for you.


Nathan Parnham

Nathan Parnham has a Masters degree in Exercise Science, a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, and a Diploma in Education. He has been a strength and conditioning coach for over 13 years, during which time he has worked with athletes from a variety of sports at junior, amateur and professional levels. Nathan has coached several current A-League (Football), NRL (Rugby League), WTA (Tennis), and professional combat sport athletes. He is also a former Head of Department at Westfield Sports High, Newington College, and North Sydney Bears RLFC. Nathan brings an impressive range of qualifications to the industry, including a Level 2 Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) certification and a Masters in Strength and Conditioning from Edith Cowan University. For Nathan fitness is not only his chosen profession but also a way of life.
